WATERLOO REGION - I, SCREAM HORRORFEST!
Event Overview:
The Waterloo Region - I, Scream HorrorFest! ( or known as; 'I, Scream' or 'HorrorFest' ) Is in the final stages in building an event for those who love horror movies, and independent film making. On the weekend of the 16th this event will come to life and to make this event run (and run well) will involve individuals from the Waterloo region from other net working web-sites such as FaceBook, My space, Twitter, Without a box and Clubs from both the University of Waterloo, and Wilfred Laurier University to help in the organization and running of our festival. As our vent is primarily to dedicated to Horror Pop-Culture movies and it's themes, we are also including elements for those interested in independent film making, and gaming (as in table top games, card games and video gaming). The 'I, Scream' venue would also provide an outlet for these organizations and clubs to show some of their talent that these members possess, in the ways of visual media (video, painted works, drawing and sketches of the like). Various events, such as showings, contests and tournaments and discussions may be held during the course of this event.
Addition with this venue we will be giving some assistance for those in need by running a food raising component. It is our hope to bring attention to local artist and other organizations that we can do something to less the issue of people going hungry and we can start within our own city. As we know we cannot fix all the problems in our community with in a weekend, however we can start by lessening the issues with hunger today. Within this venue we hope to raise over 1,000 lbs. of non perusable food for those who are in need. The items raised will be donated to The House of Friendship Food Program, a local food bank within the Region. And with all the clubs, services, and organizations listed at the outset of this proposal we would be responsible for organization and administering the events on hand.

24 King St. North Waterloo, Please note, in the case if our booking fall threw, due to theatre construction we will be holding our event at the
Bricker Academic Building at Wilfrid Laurier University (75 University Avenue West, Waterloo)
as a backup
